• isl must be enabled on ports linking switches
• Layer 2 is configured across the entire fabric
• Layer 3 is unique to each route bridge (switch)

• # firmware download interactive ← FTP information, IP, folder, user, pass
• # license add licstr “xxx” ← Works best if you copy and paste the entire line

On Existing Fabric

• show version
• show vcs
• vcs replace rbridge-id 1 ← replacement switch WWN
